General FunctionThe Associate Optometrist provides high quality optometric care, collaborates with the store manager and team, and serves as an ambassador for the Lens Crafters brand.
MajorDuties & Responsibilities
- Ensure executional excellence and achieve results in partnership with the MOD and store team.
- Exceed performance KPIs through strong competency and accountability.
- Position the brand as the leading optical provider within the community.
- Operate as a successful stakeholder with all organization leaders and local market leaders.
- Put the patient/customer first and deliver excellent service.
- Strive to exceed expectations on all KPIs.
- Deliver unsurpassed patient service by:
- Addressing all patients/customers’ visual lifestyle needs.
- Making eyewear recommendations based on patients/customers’ needs.
- Explaining each step of the eye exam and listening carefully to patients/customers.
- Using available tools and visual aids to summarize and ensure patients understand each aspect of their vision, eye health, and overall well-being.
- Communicating the need for annual eye exams and ensuring all patients are scheduled in TAB for their next exam.
- Conducting all services in accordance with protocol and accepted standards of care.
- Provide accurate diagnosis and appropriate recommendations.
- Establish a positive doctor/patient relationship.
- Leverage technology to deliver unsurpassed patient/customer experiences.
- Maintain office systems.
- Maintain state licensure in good standing and complete continuing education requirements.
- Provide effective training and guidance to team members using company provided programs.
- Deliver clear, motivating, and constructive feedback in a timely manner to all associates.
- Create a positive culture linked to the corporate culture.
- Encourage associate decision making at the patient level.
- Maximize partnerships through leadership, participation, and involvement.
- Take pride in the appearance of the office.
- Maintain a safe working environment for all associates and patients.

- Doctor of Optometry.

- Knowledge of current optometric theory and technology.
- Strong communication and listening skills.

Employee pay is determined by geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. Additional compensation may include a competitive bonus or commission plan. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
