About Trusted Fraternal Life

Trusted Fraternal Life (TFL) is one of the largest fraternal benefit societies in the United States, serving more than 200,000 members with nearly $3 billion in assets. Through our family of brands, we help members build financial security while strengthening their communities.

We are on a journey to become the leading next-generation fraternal, serving more members, across more communities, with greater impact.

About This Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to help build the organizational and talent capabilities that will support TFL's Strategy 2030 vision. We're seeking an Organization Development & Learning Specialist who enjoys turning business needs into practical learning, leadership and organizational solutions—and then rolling up their sleeves to make them happen.

This is a hands-on builder role spanning learning and development, organizational development, change, leadership and associate development, onboarding and other talent practices. You'll partner closely with leaders and HR colleagues to create tools and experiences that are practical, scalable and meaningful for our associates.

Success in this role requires strong OD and learning expertise, curiosity, creativity and an execution mindset—someone equally comfortable shaping an approach and doing the detailed work to bring it to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify organizational, leadership and workforce capability needs and translate them into practical learning and development solutions.
  • Design, develop and facilitate learning experiences for leaders and associates using a variety of delivery approaches.
  • Create practical learning tools, resources, guides and development experiences that can be readily used across the organization.
  • Support organizational change and transformation initiatives using practical change management and organizational development approaches.
  • Partner with HR leadership and business leaders to identify organizational effectiveness needs and develop appropriate interventions.
  • Help build and continuously improve talent practices, including leadership development, performance and development processes, talent review, succession and associate development.
  • Strengthen onboarding and key moments in the associate experience through learning, communication and organizational development practices.
  • Leverage HR systems, learning technology and digital tools to deliver, scale and continuously improve talent and learning solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Organizational Psychology, Education, Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Approximately 4-6 years of relevant experience in organizational development, learning and development, talent management, change management or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing and facilitating learning or organizational development solutions.
  • Working knowledge of adult learning, organizational development and change management principles and practices.
  • Experience supporting leadership development, talent processes, onboarding or associate development strongly preferred.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, project management and relationship‑building skills.
  • Comfort using learning technology and digital tools; curiosity about emerging technology and AI applications in learning and talent practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work through ambiguity and independently move practical solutions forward.
Success in This Role

Success requires a builder and a doer. This person should be equally comfortable helping shape an approach, creating the materials, facilitating the experience, using data and technology to make it scalable, and following through on implementation. The role requires curiosity, agility and enough OD/L&D expertise to bring informed recommendations while remaining highly practical and execution focused.

Why Join TFL?

Join a mission‑driven organization where you can make a real impact. This role provides the opportunity to help shape our technology future, build team capabilities, influence enterprise initiatives, and contribute to a transformational period of growth and change.
