- Mold Setter – Weekend Shift

Location: Port Huron, MI area
Pay: $20.00–$25.00/hr, depending on experience
Shift: 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM
Schedule:
Friday, Saturday & Sunday | Work 36–40 Hours & Get Paid for 40 Hours

Qualified Staffing is hiring an experienced Mold Setter for a well-established manufacturing company in the Port Huron area. We are looking for a mechanically inclined, dependable individual with mold setting or related manufacturing experience who is comfortable working a weekend shift.

• Perform mold changes and ensure proper setup of molds.
• Complete mold-related functions, including proper watering according to work instructions.
• Assist with press start-ups as required.
• Start jobs following mold changes.
• Perform barrel scrubs during material changes.
• Maintain an organized mold storage area and mold-setting supplies.
• Complete and submit required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Assist Molding Operators when needed.
• Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

• Previous mold setting or related manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with a variety of hand tools.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions.
• Strong math skills preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and quality practices is a plus.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout the manufacturing floor.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to inspect, measure, set up, operate, and position products and equipment.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, odors, and fumes.
