- Provides general clerical support such as greeting customers; promptly answering the phone; entering and retrieving data; assembling, maintaining, and distributing various types of information; maintains records, files, reports, and other documentation related to work.
- Maintains reports; routes reports and forms to appropriate departments/personnel, upon request and according to established procedures.
- Attends various departmental and hospital meetings as required.
- Acts as a professional role model.
- Provides appropriate placement for age-specific needs of the population served according to department standards, as evidenced by observation, documentation and peer feedback.

- Adult: 18-64 years
- Geriatric: 65 years and older
- Associate’s Degree (ADN) or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program
- Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license
- BLS and/or Canadian equivalent
- Minimum two (2) years recent clinical experience
- Five (5) years recent clinical experience

Position Summary:
Works collaboratively with Patient Care Services and/or House Supervisor on duty to assign patients to appropriate nursing units based on physician request, nature of illness and type of accommodations available and requested. Coordinates bed flow and placement while taking staffing into account to provide adequate patient care support.
