Homestead Health Care is hiring Caregivers in our Senior Living Facility in Fort Gratiot, MIWe are looking to grow our team with those who share our passion and enthusiasm by providing the best experience for our residents. Caregiving offers a rewarding career as it allows you to make a positive impact on the lives of others. As a caregiver, you have the opportunity to provide physical and emotional support to our residents who are elderly, disabled, or recovering from an illness.

Additionally, it allows you to develop valuable skills such as patience, empathy, and communication. Experience passing medications is highly desired.

• Assisting with care needs, specifically but not limited to: dressing, grooming, bathing, incontinence care, etc.
• Administering medications and injections, following physicians orders and accurate charting
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping
• Assess for change in condition and communicate immediately to supervisor
• Complete all required documents and charting
• Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services and coworkers
• Assist other team members with their duties
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

• Able to pass a criminal background check
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working with the elderly, preferred
• Must be 18 years old
• Reliable transportation
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Every other weekend is required
• A positive attitude and the ability to arrive on time for every shift
