$17.00/hr - $21.00/hr

Position Summary and responsibilities:
Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and related hardware, and using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold; maintains merchandise presentation in the pharmacy by stocking, rotating, and removing damaged or out‑of‑date goods, setting up clean and organized product displays, signing and pricing merchandise, and securing fragile and high shrink merchandise. Maintains the Pharmacy area in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns;

utilizes equipment to perform merchandising functions such as pricing, creating signs, verifying merchandise, arranging supplies, identifying shrink and damages, ensuring a safe work environment, and completing required paperwork, logs, and documentation. Monitors and resolves problems in the prescription fulfillment process by processing information for third‑party insurance claims, rescanning illegible images, alerting patients to out‑of‑stock inventory, handling partial fills and physician authorizations, and identifying situations requiring pharmacist action.

Promotes and maintains the Pharmacy's professional reputation and provides patients and members with pharmacy products and services in accordance with local state and federal laws and corporate policies. Assists the pharmacist in the prescription fulfillment process, processes third‑party insurance claims or rejections, assists patients with prescription orders and purchases, and completes and secures required documentation. Provides patient member service by acknowledging members, identifying member needs, initiating prescription fulfillment, creating prescription orders, promoting products, resolving member issues, assisting with purchase decisions, locating over‑the‑counter merchandise, and maintaining a safe shopping environment.

Enters prescription data into pharmacy software, transcribes prescription information, and creates or modifies patient member records. Fills prescriptions by retrieving orders, counting, measuring, or weighing medication, mixing, or reconstituting medications as needed, selecting filling and labeling containers, and operating scanning equipment or automated dispensing systems to ensure accuracy. Provides member assistance during prescription pickup by verifying patient information, marking prescriptions, retrieving bags, scanning security tags, gathering electronic signatures for HIPAA acknowledgment, and using TaSCO to log sales of restricted items.

Completes work assignments by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, communicating progress, determining improvement opportunities, and adapting to change and feedback. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans and using the Open Door Policy to support a culture of belonging, integrity, customer focus, and excellence.
