Now Hiring:Propane Driver
We are actively seeking experienced Propane Drivers to safely load, transport, and deliver propane throughout the Appalachia region. This is a great opportunity for drivers who take pride in safe hauling, timely deliveries, and exceptional customer service.
What You’ll Do- Safely load, transport, and unload propane
- Follow all safety procedures and DOT regulations
- Provide timely and efficient deliveries to DHT customers
- Operate in the Appalachia region
- Work at least one weekend day
- Adapt to a schedule that does not guarantee nightly home time
- CDL drivers with a strong safety record
- Experience with hazardous materials preferred
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in bulk propane/butane tanking strongly preferred

Preference given to candidates with at least one year of flammable petroleum commodity experience.

- Applies a thorough understanding of the technical concepts, practice and procedures and a general knowledge of the industry standards and government regulations related to transporting bulk petroleum products
- Complete all “pre-trip” requirements and “post-trip” requirements
- Transports loads safely and in a timely manner, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations
- Maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals
- Maintains work orders, invoices, shipping bills, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to staff
- Communicates effectively verbally and in writing at terminals and with Dispatch, Drivers, vendors, and customers
- Facilitates routine service on trucks, reports maintenance malfunctions to appropriate parties
- Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes
- Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy

- At least 1 year of semi-truck driving experience.
- Acceptable MVR
- Must be able to work OTR.
- At least 1 to 2 years of fuel commodity transport experience
- Ability to go to Canada.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical.
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening.
