We are centrally located wit h 2- 3 hour drive to Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Corpus Christi. Our L&D is Designated Level for Maternal and Neonatal Care. While level one is our designation, our area has a large transient population due to plant construction in our county. WE ARE SEEKING A NURSE EXPERIENCED IN RURAL HEALTHCARE. Skillset including strong assessment skills and EFM are key.
This department is normally staffed as a 2 person department with Most staff skilled in all L&D, PP and nursery roles. Housing can be challenging in the area due to construction in the county and tourism. The travelers that RV seem to have the best options. The EMR is OBIX. Our department averages 15-20 deliveries per month.
