Position: Port Moody Environmental Coordinator Role
Embrace a temporary full-time opportunity as an Environmental Coordinator with the City of Port Moody. This role focuses on environmental compliance and planning, vital for sustainable development practices.

In this 15-month position, you will develop environmental bylaws, manage proposals, and analyze ecological impacts. Your collaboration with stakeholders and community partners will be essential in supporting the City’s environmental objectives and ensuring compliance with regulations. You’ll be advising on best practices and providing technical expertise across various environmental functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop bylaws and environmental policies for the City

• Review and critique development proposals and studies

• Manage environmental initiatives and compliance requirements

• Advise on riparian and ecological management practices

• Facilitate stakeholder consultations and represent City interests

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or relevant discipline

• At least 2 years of related experience, preferably in municipalities

• Thorough understanding of environmental protection practices

• Strong writing and communication skills

• BC Driver's License required
