Community Outreach Support Worker

Engage directly with individuals as a Community Outreach Worker (COW) in the Tri-Cities. This role focuses on skill development while providing essential outreach services in various locations.

The COW will primarily work 1-1 with individuals, promoting skills such as public transportation use, financial management, and community connections. Flexibility is key, as this position includes evenings, weekends, and potentially working on Statutory Holidays. You’ll also assist in building relationships and ongoing support within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to enhance skill development

• Assist with public transport, financial and household management

• Facilitate relationship building and community connections

• Support ongoing development of individual supports and resources

• Assist in facilitating a person-centered planning process

Requirements:

• Diploma in Human Services or equivalent

• Valid Class 5 Drivers License and access to a vehicle

• First Aid/CPR/NVCI, Food Safe Certificate

• Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check

• Experience in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
