Dawson Design Associates is looking for a talented and qualified mid-level interior designer/architect for our Kitsap County studio. If you are seeking a hands-on, holistic approach to designing creative, immersive, narrative-driven hotel experiences, DDA is the perfect fit. We value curiosity, a desire to learn, and a preference for working in a beautiful rural setting surrounded by nature.
The ideal candidate has 3–5 years minimum experience in interior design or interior architecture and a strong desire to learn and grow within hospitality design. They should be bright, creative, enthusiastic, a good student, and able to work independently with an analytical approach. Artistic training and talent are highly desirable.
DDA is a demanding teaching and learning environment with prestigious projects and clients. At DDA every player plays a critical role in a highly collaborative international office; you must be comfortable and skilled at working independently with limited supervision once trained. You must be willing to work in all aspects of design and do what it takes to keep the studio functioning daily, including sorting RFIs, samples management, and project organization.

- Work in office five days per week (with an occasional remote day on Friday).
- Interface directly with the CEO and founding principal on a daily basis; maintain high standards of professionalism, organization, practicality, and responsibility.
- Contribute to all aspects of design and studio operations; handle RFIs, samples management, and project organization.
- Collaborate with a highly collaborative international team while also working independently when trained.
- Participate in mentoring and training across hospitality, interior design, and architecture.
- 3–5 years minimum experience in interior design or interior architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design or interior architecture from a fully accredited university.
- Highly skilled in PowerPoint, CAD and Photoshop.
- Artistic training and talent are highly desirable.
- Strong desire to learn and grow within hospitality design.
- Former employer references and referrals are required.
