We are hiring a Hydrographic Surveyor for our Hydrographic Survey team at our Port Orchard, WA office.
The team conducts surveys for private and public agencies across the United States. The role requires approximately 100 days of travel annually.
Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must already possess work authorization in the U.S.
Responsibilities (Field)- Multibeam and single‑beam hydrographic surveys
- GNSS topographic surveys
- Terrestrial LiDAR surveys
- Survey vessel mobilization
- GNSS & optical horizontal & vertical control surveys
- Experience with small vessel and coastal waterways preferred
- Multibeam and single‑beam data processing
- GNSS static control network processing and adjustment
- AutoCAD Civil 3D usage
- Mobile & static terrestrial LiDAR survey processing
- Bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, environmental science, ocean engineering, geology, geography, spatial science, marine science or a comparable field
- Self‑motivated, quick learning, curious, resourceful, flexible with a common‑sense approach to workload management
- Interest and desire to work in a marine‑focused organization
- Preferred experience and qualifications:
- Experience using Global Mapper
- Experience using marine software (QINSy, CARIS, EIVA, Beamworks)
- Experience gathering GPS data with Trimble hardware/software and processing
- Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD software, MS‑Visio, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, InDesign)
- Experience with LiDAR processing
- Experience with 3D visualization

$78,400 – $130,700 USD (Base pay varies with experience)
