Position: Dental Assistant I

Dental Assistant I – North American Dental Group (NADG) –
Port St Lucie, FL
Salary: $21.00–$24.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent chair‑side clinical support and assistance to doctors and hygienists, including charting, operatory set/clean‑up, and patient education.
  • Record and review patient health history, make chart entries under the doctor's direction, and ensure completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
  • Review the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
  • Prepare patients, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, maintain chain of asepsis, prepare materials, and assist dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
  • Expose and develop dental diagnostic radiographs.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X‑ray safety, and other required certifications and registrations.
Required Skills
  • Proficiency in charting and operating dental software.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records.
  • Knowledge of office protocols for patient preparation and instrument sterilization.
  • Comfortable with radiography and related diagnostic techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education.
  • Awareness of OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
  • Dental Assisting Certification or equivalent on‑the‑job training.
  • 1–5 years of experience preferred; new graduates will be considered.
  • State‑licensed radiography/X‑ray certification.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
