Job Description
Be the steady guide who helps students return to The River and continue the journey they once started. In this role, you’ll reach out to former students, listen to their needs, and help them navigate every step of the re-enrollment process. You’ll identify obstacles, connect them with the right resources, and make sure they feel seen, supported, and confident about coming back to Indian River State College.
Job SummaryUnder general supervision, this role supports student success by guiding retention and re-enrollment efforts from withdrawal through re-entry. Helps former students return, overcome academic or administrative barriers, and complete their educational goals.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct outreach (via phone, email, text) to students who have withdrawn or stopped out; counsel on program options, credit transfers, and pathways toward degree completion (30%).
- Help students re‑engage, assess their status, and guide them through re‑admission procedures (25%).
- Identify obstacles (financial, scheduling, academic) and direct students to appropriate support, serving as a liaison between students and academic, financial aid, and student services departments (25%).
- Track re‑entry metrics, retention data, and progress outcomes and maintain accurate records of student interactions and status in CRM systems (10%).
- Participate in the development of re‑entry initiatives and campaigns, on and off campus (10%).
- Complete all other duties and responsibilities as assigned (5%).
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum two (2) years of work experience in higher education, preferably in admissions, advising, or financial aid.
- Ability to manage outreach campaigns and follow‑up strategies.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to identify and address student issues and barriers to success.
- Demonstrate expertise in the use of technology to assist in tracking and retaining students through to completion.
- Ability to navigate the Internet for research and resources related to student success and completion.
- Ability to review data to identify gaps and enhance student completion strategies.
- Knowledge of FERPA.
This position requires light work involving lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. It also requires walking, standing, and some pushing or pulling of arm or leg controls. The ability to perform these activities signifies capability for light work duties.

Pay range starts at: $18.40/hour. All salary calculations start at the minimum salary and will be based on candidate's education and experience. Open until filled.
