We are an E-commerce retailer, wholesale distributor and manufacturer. Our business is growing very rapidly and seeking a hands on versatile accounting leader. This position is on-site, and we are not considering remote candidates currently.

Currently, we are seeking a talented Controller in Port St Lucie, Florida. This person will manage the day to day accounting functions of the business while overseeing a small team. This position will provide oversight day-to-day, month-end as well as year-end accounting / reporting. The controller position will also be responsible for organizing federal and state tax obligations. The Controller will report to the CFO directly.

• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Oversee and Maintain Chart of Accounts, Fixed asset Inventory and depreciation schedules.
• Collaborate with external accounting firms to oversee and prepare journal entries for monthly and/or year-end financial statements.
• Process timely FET payments, file form 720 with IRS, and process payment via IRS tax payment system EFTPS and oversee and process sales tax with FDOR
• Prepares monthly financial statements i.e., income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement/forecast and report of capital expenditures utilizing SAPB1 reporting software as needed.
• Maintain Balance Sheet accounts including cash, receivables, fixed asset, accounts payable, pre-paid inventory etc.
• Streamline and institute process improvement for internal financial controls.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or another relevant field
• Experience:
  
  5+ years’ experience in related role, supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP, Salesforce or Net Suite Software and ADP preferred.
• Experience with Amazon, Shopify and other ecommerce platforms.
• Previous experience in an ecommerce, Inventory Auditing in a retail or wholesale environment preferred.
• Experience with banker or investor relationships is preferred.
• Strong Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in team environment as required.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial principles to Executive team.
