Our therapists provide psychotherapeutic interventions to children and their families, including assessing
treatment needs, developing and reviewing treatment plans, and determining discharge criteria in an
outpatient setting. Therapists are responsible for completing and maintaining required intake forms,
documentation, and discharge planning by specified dates, and maintaining outcome measures for the
effectiveness of treatment.
Tykes & Teens is a CE-Broker supported organization and we provide over 12 hours of continued education
per year in addition to weekly staffing to support your clinical growth. We also provide f ree Clinical Supervision
toward licensure.
- Mental Health Services ages birth to 5
- Primary caregivers are essential in shaping young children's Mental Health
- Serving Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River Counties
- Services are typically rendered in natural settings (home, school)
- Like all other forms of MH/Counseling services, they are rendered in a therapeutic space/HIPAA-Compliant
- Our staff are trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy, an evidence based model that supports young children and their primary caregiver in processing and healing from traumatic experiences, including but not limited to
- Domestic violence, separation from a parent, witnessing substance use of a parent, death of a parent
- Increase social-emotional development
- Increase positive attachment patterns between parent and child
- Increase parents' sense of "efficacy" as a parent
- Support healing from trauma and other adverse experiences
- Reduce challenging behaviors in all settings
- Reduce Dependency Involvement or re-involvement
- Use evidence-based therapeutic practices to ensure highest quality of care
- Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another applicable human services degree.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish/Haitian) is a plus, but not required.
- A valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance is required.
- An ability to work in a team environment.
- Licensed or registered intern under Florida Statutes 490 or 491- and two years of experience in working with children and families.
- An active and clear State of Florida License - LCSW, LMHC, LMFT.
The pay range is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
