Position Summary

We are seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to support patients in our behavioral health programs. As a member of the treatment team, the Certified Nursing Assistant participates in direct patient care including insuring patient safety, interacting therapeutically, assisting in activities of daily living, and performing routine technical nursing assignments. Provides services to patients whose ages range from adult to geriatric.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor patient safety and observe patient behaviors
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care
  • Support therapeutic and recreational activities
  • Utilize verbal de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques
  • Monitor vital signs and document patient information accurately
  • Escort patients throughout the facility as needed
  • Promote a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment
  • Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other clinical staff
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and patient education activities
Qualifications
  • Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant training program
  • Current Florida Driver's License required
  • Current CPR Certification required
  • Previous psychiatric, healthcare, or nursing home experience preferred
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and crisis management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing mental health challenges
