We are seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead our Memory Care Unit in a 120-bed skilled nursing facility. The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations of the unit, ensuring high-quality resident care, supervising nursing staff, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.
This leadership role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a passion for caring for residents with dementia and memory-related conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations of the Memory Care unit in collaboration with the Director of Nursing
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
- Ensure quality resident care in accordance with facility policies and state/federal regulations
- Monitor and evaluate resident care plans and clinical outcomes
- Conduct clinical rounds and respond to resident/family concerns
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care planning
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with regulatory standards
- Participate in quality assurance and infection control initiatives
- Active LPN/RN license in the state of Florida
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
- Experience with dementia or memory care strongly preferred
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience as a Unit Manager, Charge Nurse, or Nurse Supervisor in a skilled nursing facility
- Experience with EMR systems in long-term care
- Wound care or infection control experience a plus
