Our client is a leading environmental consultancy and contractor delivering habitat restoration, ecological mitigation and civil engineering projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to recruit an experienced Site Supervisor to support the successful delivery of environmental and infrastructure projects. Working alongside Site Managers and Project Managers, you will supervise day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Projects include habitat creation and restoration, river and wetland work, ecological mitigation, natural flood management and associated civil engineering activities.
- Supervise day-to-day site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications.
- Coordinate site operatives, subcontractors, plant and materials.
- Support the Site Manager in delivering projects on programme and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with RAMS, Construction Phase Plans, environmental controls and company procedures.
- Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
- Monitor quality standards and ensure works comply with project specifications and inspection requirements.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, plant returns and labour allocations.
- Identify and report site risks, issues and opportunities, escalating where appropriate.
- Promote a strong health, safety and environmental culture across all site activities.
- Build positive working relationships with clients, landowners, stakeholders and project teams.
- Previous experience supervising civil engineering, environmental or construction projects.
- SSSTS qualification.
- CSCS Gold or Black Card (or appropriate supervisory qualification).
- First Aid at Work.
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation, including CDM 2015.
- Experience of leading site teams and coordinating subcontractors.
- Full UK driving licence.
- SMSTS qualification.
- Experience delivering habitat creation, river restoration, ecological mitigation or environmental improvement projects.
- CPCS or NPORS plant tickets.
- Temporary Works Supervisor training.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation and best practice on construction sites.
