About the role
Our client, the UK s leading supplier of hot rolled coil, is looking for a PC&A Inspector to provide engineering support that keeps their Hot Rolled Products area running at optimum performance, acting as a first point of contact for the Hot Mill.
What you ll do- Diagnose faults on PLC programs and work on plant end devices
- Work on instrumentation and control systems
- Understand electrical control systems, DC & AC drives, and motors, diagnosing and rectifying faults quickly
- Hold or work towards authorisation to issue electrical permits
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety requirements and statutory duties
- Support the team and react promptly to engineering, quality, and safety issues
- Contribute to plant performance improvements
- Flex to cover overtime around breakdowns and planned maintenance
- A completed apprenticeship with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 Electrical (or equivalent)
- Good technical knowledge and fault-finding experience
- Experience in a relevant role, with flexibility to develop further
- Good understanding of electrical systems and perimetry
- Experience on DC and AC control/drives packages
