About this jobDue to the continued success and increase in business my client is looking to enhance the team that look after the machinery and plant by employing a Plant Technician.
As the Plant Technician you will be responsible for a specific part of the business and the task of keeping it running so the product gets out the door.
Before you apply the bits your need to know:
- this position will start as a day role (working 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm) but once trained you will be required to work a 2 shift pattern which will be a morning and then afternoon shift.
There may be a 3rd shift in he future too
- in busy periods and urgent breakdowns, there may be the need to work over these hours, weekends and possibly a call out expectation
- all paid at an enhanced rate
- so flexibility is key Your role will be to assist the very hands on manager with the day to day running of the production area and associated plant and services.
You will need to have skills, and had experience in some if not all of these areas:
Steam systems Chilled water and refrigeration Pneumatic/pressure systems Vacuum systems Freeze drying Mechanical bias with some electrical/controls experience
- pressure and temperature transmitters etc Chemical dosing systems General fitting and fabrication Welding (mainly TIG) Ability to read and interpret engineering and P& Health and safety awareness Working at height Confined space work There will be training offered if all of the criteria is not hit, so if you are eager to learn and enhance your skills, then please apply.
