Housing Support Worker – Port Talbot

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals? We are seeking dedicated Housing Support Workers to join a leading specialist provider in Port Talbot. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals or those looking to enter the homeless sector, offering flexible hours and a rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support hostel occupants in adhering to rules and regulations
Provide emotional support to individuals experiencing homelessness or other vulnerabilities
Explain and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures within the hostel
Offer relevant information to visitors and residents
Liaise with Housing Officers to meet client needs effectively
Promote equality and diversity within the supported housing environment
Maintain high standards of customer care and support

Requirements

Strong empathetic approach and value-based mindset
Experience with in a social care or supported housing environment (desirable)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexibly across shifts (7am - 7pm / 7pm - 7am)
Commitment to promoting safety, equality, and high-quality support
