Jefferson County Public Health is seeking a Public Health Communication Specialist. The role involves building engaging and informative communication platforms to disseminate emergency, educational, and general information about the department, its services, and programs. Platforms may include social media, websites, print media, and outreach at public events.
The individual must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements are listed in the attached job description and are representative of the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Education and/or Experience:
An Associate’s degree (A.A.) in a computer-related field, journalism, public relations, communications, or a related field; AND two (2) years of related experience in web production or website management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
AND
Two (2) years of experience working with graphic design software and other tools used in maintaining and designing social media and internet-based communications.
The position is UFCW, 40 hours/week, Grade 28, with a starting pay typically $28.71/hr the full hourly range is $28.71-$34.28/hr, DOE.
