Compensation: $40.29/hr

Duties- Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems in forklifts.
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to pinpoint and resolve issues with forklifts.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Repair and maintain MHE including forklifts, pallet jacks (2,000‑70,000 lb capacity), aerial boom lifts, and scissor lifts.
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment to OEM specifications and Navy standards, using various lifting equipment, hand and pneumatic tools.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Perform basic rigging procedures as required.
- Examine equipment and parts for damage and wear using calibrated measuring tools.
- Repair and replace electric, diesel, propane, or gasoline MHE and components such as air systems, cooling systems, starting and charging systems.
- Repair vehicle chassis, electrical systems, drive trains, brake systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Repair and rebuild broken parts and structural members using welding and other fabrication techniques.
- Operate and inspect machines and equipment to diagnose component defects and perform repairs.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 years of operating a forklift.
- A valid Forklift License is required.
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities on a case‑by‑case basis.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking; standing or sitting for several hours, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs.
- Must persevere to work effectively under pressure for extended periods.
- A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
- Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ‑compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative such as a U.S. passport or military .
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. Background check and E‑Verify will be conducted.
