We are Custom Wire Technologies, Inc., a leader in OEM Medical Component Manufacturing with over 50 years of industry experience using the latest technology. Our team is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Set‑up Technician to join our 2nd Shift team.
As Manufacturing Set‑up Technician, you will program, set up, and operate computer numerical control (CNC) equipment in accordance with good manufacturing practices (GMP) to support the fabrication of medical components throughout the company. This is a unique opportunity to work in a job shop manufacturing facility where each day and project differs.
What can you expect to do on a typical day?- Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
- Review production schedule to align with company goals and customer deliverables.
- Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
- Keep equipment in good working order by performing regular inspection, cleaning, and servicing along with routine and preventative maintenance to avoid machine or process breakdown.
- Maintain maintenance logs of equipment serviced.
- Communicate and work cross‑functionally with internal teams as needed.
- Follow all company procedures and protocols.
- Provide guidance and training to other technicians or production associates.
- Associate degree or related technical and manufacturing experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of material properties.
- Working knowledge of engineering change process.
- Ability to multi‑task and adapt to change and unpredictability within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience with basic hand tools.
- Capable of performing basic mathematical functions.
- Experience with CNC programs and programming.
- Prior experience working with the medical industry.
- Experience working in a job shop manufacturing environment.
