This exciting new role will involve working with other experienced Quantity Surveyors to develop and grow our QS department. Following continued growth within the division, specifically aided by a recently awarded long term local project, you will be responsible for the complete commercial oversight of several of our live projects in conjunction with the Contract Team. Good communication with the IME teams, client teams, design teams and complete supply chain is essential.
We would also encourage further education and training through relevant courses and seminars that would benefit the job role.
This includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Monthly Valuations
- Maintaining Valuation Spreadsheet
- Liaison with Managers
- Issuing Valuations
- Saving down assessment / payment notices.
- Variations
- Set-up and maintain a variation register for each project
- Assist with preparation of variations
- Manage change control with wider team
- Assist with responses to queries from Client / Main Contractor
- Contract Notifications (JCT / NEC)
- Notifications Registers up-to-date
- Issuing of Notifications
- An internal overview will be provided with potential for further training
- Preparation of sub-contractor orders
- Assist with preparation of Sub-Contractor order to IME supply chain
- Engage with supply chain to ensure required information is received to issue orders
- Site Visits
- Visit sites in conjunction with Contract Managers to review variations/valuations.
- Contract Report & Forecasting
- Assist Contract Managers with preparation of monthly Reports
- Collate monthly sales and cost reports for division
- Articulate with excellent communication skills
- Strong IT ability, experience working with Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to manage your own workload
- UK Driving licence
- Ability to demonstrate good team ethos
- MEP experience
- Desire to self-develop and expand knowledge
- Services Experience
