Location:
Flexible, working out of either our Portadown or Mallusk Office
This exciting new role will involve you learning and working with experienced Quantity Surveyors to develop and grow your skills within our QS department. You will gain exceptional training and experience in Measured Term Contracts (MTC), working on our long-term Health and Government contracts that we have recently been awarded. You will be responsible for preparing Final Accounts from receipt of paperwork through to final submission to client.
The successful candidate will be willing to learn on the job.
- On-site measures of completed and new works
- PSA schedule of rates
- Computer systems including MS Excel, Qudos and Barcellos, etc.
- Detailed training plan provided
This includes, but not limited to the following:
- Completion of site surveys and provide full site measure of proposed / completed works
- Preparation of pre-measured budget costs and measurement for Final Account using Qudos & Barcellos software
- Survey and preparation of quotations using MTC rates
- Preparation and submission of Interim Valuations
- Preparation and submission of Final Account (measurement, quotes, invoices, dayworks, photos, etc.)
- Support Contracts Manager in the development and delivery of a variety of contracts on time and within budget in order to maximise profit potential
- Liaising, negotiating and relationship building with clients and consultants
- Time served Electrician
- Competent IT ability
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Desire to self-develop and expand within yourself
- UK driving licence
- Be willing to travel
- Ability to demonstrate good team ethos
- Previous experience in completing MTC paperwork on site
