We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to support one of our customers. The hourly rate is £35/hour or £40K/year. The contract is inside of IR35, and the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service to our client and will be expected to be proactive and self‑motivated in delivering the targeted outputs to support the product.

This role will involve the Manufacturing Engineer being based at the Client's office and will report directly to the ME Manager. Working within the ME team, successful candidates will join our experienced team, with whom you will work on varied projects in a high‑tech and future‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities
  • General and Task Management
    • Creation and maintenance of the Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOMs) on 123 Insight.
    • Facilitate the Change Control Board (CCB) meetings to drive completion of actions and assist in the approval of Engineering Changes and record minutes.
    • Checking the accuracy of Engineering Bills of Material (EBOMs) against the MBOMs.
    • Creation of Engineering Change requests and Manufacturing change request.
    • Design, prove, implement and/or maintain production systems to deliver product on time, to quality requirements and to cost.
    • Support continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, process improvement, machine availability through lean techniques.
    • Support product design for manufacture and assembly activities.
    • Ensure accuracy of manufacturing engineering procedures, documentation and systems data.
    • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
    • Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation.
    • Conduct regular process and system reviews to ensure continuous improvement of the product change management process as part of the process ownership.

Qualifications
  • Engineering degree, or equivalent experience, with proven practical engineering & manufacturing knowledge.

  • Several years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Aerospace experience preferable.

  • Good communicator who is professional during interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Happy to train and coach others.
  • Candidates will have a proven track record of delivering effective engineering solutions within cost, time and quality constraints.
