You'll work closely with customers to understand their business risks, assess their cyber security posture, and deliver pragmatic, cost-effective solutions that support their wider objectives. The role offers exposure to a broad range of engagements and the chance to develop into a trusted advisor to clients. What you'll be doing:
As a Cyber Security Consultant, you'll support clients across a variety of cyber security and risk management activities, including:
Understanding business drivers, cyber threats and risk landscapes Assessing cyber security maturity and producing improvement roadmaps Identifying, analysing and managing cyber risks at both technical and business process levels Reviewing the effectiveness of security controls and recommending proportionate improvements Conducting risk assessments, site visits and threat assessments Leading client interviews and investigations to determine business impacts Producing high-quality reports and communicating findings to technical teams and senior stakeholders Applying recognised frameworks and best practice approaches, including ISO 27001, NIST and similar standards Researching security technologies and contributing to the development of innovative solutions Supporting business development activities and the production of client proposals
What we're looking for:
We're interested in speaking with candidates who can demonstrate:
Experience with in cyber security consultancy, governance, risk and compliance (GRC), or information security assurance A strong understanding of cyber security principles, architectures and technical controls Practical experience applying risk management and assurance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST or similar Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present security advice clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills Experience working within complex or regulated sectors, such as Defence, Government, Financial Services, Energy or Telecommunications etc An understanding of operating within high-assurance or security-sensitive environments Why join?
