Production Operators

Role Overview

Gi Group are working in partnership with their client in Portadown to attract and recruit Food Production Operatives to join the team. The site is going through a programme of expansion and bringing new and diverse products, hence there is a requirement for an increase in staff on a temporary ongoing basis.

You will be required to work in a quick‑paced food manufacturing environment, working on a production line where you'll be expected to work as part of a team, have a keen eye for detail, maintain health and safety, food safety and internal standards, systems and processes.

• Follow standard work in terms of systems and processes
• Identify, rectify and report production issues
• Inspect materials for any quality issues
• Perform set‑up and changeovers within the production areas
• Record and collect data as per requirements of the product and management
• Perform quality checks of products and machinery, pre, during and post production
• The above list is not exhaustive but illustrates the requirements of the role.

Full training will be provided; however we are looking for individuals with an eagerness to learn and develop.

• 06:00 – 14:30 Monday to Friday – £12.21 ph for the first 6 months, increasing to £12.60 ph after 6 months (full service).
• Evening shift Monday to Thursday – 14:30 to 01:00 am, starting at £13.42 ph for the first 6 months, increasing to £14.02 ph after 6 months (full service).
