Working alongside the Store Manager, you will play a key role in leading the day-to-day operation of the Store, inspiring colleagues to perform at their best and ensuring customers enjoy a welcoming, well-stocked and brilliantly run shopping experience every time they visit.

As Deputy Store Manager (Shop Floor) you will be at the heart of the Store operation, supporting the Store Manager to deliver outstanding results across customer service, team development, operational excellence and commercial performance.

You will:

• Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive shopping experience
• Motivate, coach and develop colleagues to achieve their full potential
• Support the delivery of strong commercial results by driving sales, labour productivity and stock control
• Help create a high-performing, engaged and customer-focused team culture
• Ensure the Store is always clean, full, priced and ready to trade
• Support effective rota planning and daily operational management
• Conduct regular shop floor walks, identifying opportunities to improve service and sales
• Support recruitment, training, performance management and succession planning
• Deputise for the Store Manager when required and confidently lead the Store operation
• Promote company values, standards and behaviours at all times

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a retail supervisory or management role
• Strong leadership and people development skills
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of retail KPIs
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive and positive approach to problem solving
• The ability to influence, engage and motivate others
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-moving retail environment
