THE EMPLOYER IS: MIGRANT SUPPORT SERVICE The Bilingual Support Worker (Arabic) will provide front-line support to members of the Arabic-speaking migrant and ethnic minority communities. The role involves conducting interviews, identifying community needs, providing information and signposting, assisting with form completion, and collecting accurate data to support service delivery and reporting.
Responsibilities- Conduct interviews with members of ethnic minority communities, particularly Arabic-speaking service users, to identify issues, concerns, and support needs.
- Prepare and present identified issues and cases for the attention of the Integration Manager.
- Provide clear information, advice, and appropriate signposting to relevant services and agencies.
- Assist service users with form-filling and documentation as required.
- Collect, record, and maintain accurate data for MSS records and reporting purposes.
- Communicate effectively with internal staff and service users.
- Support the organisation in identifying and understanding the needs of the Arabic migrant population.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection and organisational policies.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- Strong interviewing skills with the ability to build trust and gather accurate information.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good receptionist and customer service skills.
- Competence in database entry and accurate record keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
