Preteen Ministry Director

The Director of The Zone provides spiritual leadership, care, and discipleship for preteens(4th & 5th grade) and their parents and caregivers at The Bridge. This role creates developmentally appropriate, biblically grounded, and relationship-focused experiences that help preteens take their next step in following Jesus.

The Director will lead The Zone on Sunday mornings, assist with Mid Zone on Wednesday evenings, partner closely with parents and caregivers, and work collaboratively with Family Ministry staff and other Bridge campuses to create alignment and consistency across our ministry.

• Lead and oversee The Zone on Sunday mornings andMidZone on Wednesday evenings.
• Manage the preteen curriculum, including:
• Scope and sequence
• Lesson and activity planning
• Sharing curriculum and resources with other Bridge campuses
• Plan and lead special events and activities throughout the year.
• Create environments where preteens can grow in their relationship with Jesus and with others.

• Build strong, consistent relationships with parents and caregivers.
• Provide monthly communication, including newsletters and follow-up with students who are missing.
• Plan and lead quarterly parent partnership events.
• Help lead and facilitate baptism classes for preteens and their families.
• Equip parents to take an active role in the spiritual development of their children.
• Recruit, train, schedule, communicate with, and care for Zone volunteers.
• Build meaningful relationships with volunteers and help them discover and use their gifts.
• Provide one-on-one and group training and development.
• Celebrate and encourage volunteers throughout the year.
• Lead an annual volunteer celebration and/or training.

• Develop a three-month ministry strategy with a multi-campus mindset.
• Meet regularly with Zone leadership at other Bridge campuses for alignment, support, and collaboration.
• Connect with Mid Zone students across campuses.
• Help ensure alignment in teaching, special events, and ministry initiatives.
• Coordinate multi-campus initiatives such as the Zone Secret Service Project, summer events, and Christmas programming.

• Collaborate regularly with the Family Ministry Director, Mid Zone Assistant Director, Bridge Kids Director, and Fusion Director.
• Oversee the Mid Zone Assistant Director.
• Oversee Sunday and Wednesday Zone volunteers.
• Provide leadership and oversight to interns and residents as applicable.
• Attend ministry leadership events and conferences as appropriate for continued development.
• Manage ministry finances, including budget tracking and receipts.
• Purchase ministry supplies and resources as needed.

Hours may vary based on special events, ministry seasons, and the needs of the ministry.
