An EPG Field Technician at Michigan CAT supports customers at their work location. An EPG Field Technician would perform maintenance and repair on customer power generators to ensure customers always have access to emergency power, when they need it.

An EPG Field Technician at Michigan CAT supports customers at their work location. An EPG Field Technician would perform maintenance and repair on customer power generators to ensure customers always have access to emergency power, when they need it.

Responsibilities:
As an EPG Field Technician, your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Diagnose problems with engines / generators
• Perform all repairs associated with the diagnosis that is possible out in the field
• Locate and order parts as required. On occasions, this may require you to coordinate with parts drivers to get the parts you need to your work site
• Write up detailed service reports for both internal and external requirements
• Maintain own equipment
• Building productive customer relationships to benefit all involved

• Strong understanding of electrical components such as switch gears and automatic transfer switches - the ability to self-motivate and self-manage time
• A record of promptness to get to and from work on time
• Strong ability to communicate and listen, understanding customer needs and performing the work necessary
• Strong writing skills to complete detailed service reports
• A Current DOT Medical Card
• A Current Class A CDL
