Controller - Portage Area

Salary Range: $120,000 - $169,000 depending on experience

• Oversee all financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
• Implement and maintain robust cost accounting systems, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation for production.
• Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for operational efficiency, cost reduction, and profitability improvements.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to optimize liquidity and financial performance.
• Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all audit requirements.
• Oversee fixed asset management, including depreciation, capital expenditure tracking, and disposal processes.

• 7‑10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with significant time in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred.
• Expertise in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard costing specific to manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced financial modeling in Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

• Proficiency with advanced data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles or other continuous improvement methodologies to financial processes.
• Prior involvement in ERP system implementations or significant upgrades within a manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to multi‑site or international manufacturing operations.
