Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine part specifications and machining sequences.
- Perform quality control checks on machined parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Load raw materials into machines and unload finished or semi‑finished parts.
- Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve common machining issues and machine alarms.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functionality and longevity.
- Proven 3-5 years of experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges) for quality inspection.
- Ability to perform tool changes, offset adjustments, and basic troubleshooting of CNC machinery.
- Strong understanding of G‑code and M‑code for program adjustments and optimization.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for program generation or modification.
- Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
- Ability to perform minor machine maintenance or troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
