Job Title: Material Handler

FLSA Status: Non Exempt

Reports To: Supervisor, Materials (Warehouse)

Responsible for handling and storage of materials for all departments, as well as housekeeping activities for warehouse and dock area. Operate material handling equipment, forklift trucks, and change forklift batteries. Duties also include shipping, receiving, label-making, and inventory functions.

• Physically walk for an eight-hour shift.
• Lift up to 60 pounds.
• Bend and lift repeatedly during the shift.
• Wear steel‑toe footwear.
• Maintain adequate visual acuity to qualify for a forklift license.
• Operate a pallet jack for product movement.
• Climb ladders/stairs for material changes.
• Provide necessary product and material to production departments as needed.
• Weigh and label product as needed.
• Return product to proper storage locations per Kan Ban system.
• Shrink wrap finished parts and place in proper storage location.
• Remove Kan Bans from empty purchased product containers and place on proper Kan Ban board.
• Cross‑train in other warehouse functions and perform those functions when necessary.
• Perform housekeeping activities for warehouse and dock area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requires ability to obtain a forklift license per OSHA requirements.

Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.

• Minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment.

This position typically does not require any travel.
