Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift at MANN+HUMMEL —

Portage, MI. Shift: 2nd Shift.

The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in supporting the facility by conducting preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure smooth operations in the manufacturing and rebuild areas.

• Perform major mechanical and electrical repairs on equipment
• Work effectively in both team settings and independently
• Adhere to departmental procedures and quality systems
• Utilize maintenance software and computer-based tools
• Apply troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve issues
• Plan and schedule tasks to ensure timely completion of assigned work
• Rebuild and refurbish equipment parts and sub-assemblies

• High School Diploma or GED

• Proven experience in mechanical repair with electrical knowledge, or as an electrician with strong mechanical skills
• Industrial manufacturing experience
• Familiarity with shop tools and automated equipment at all levels

• Completion of an apprenticeship program with a journeyman’s card
• 8 years of experience in a specialized or multi-craft role
• Experience with plastic injection molding is a plus
