Join MANN+HUMMEL as a Warranty Technician in Portage, Michigan.

The Warranty Technician assesses customer returned products, conducts detailed inspections, and identifies root causes of failures. You will support problem‑solving activities, maintain warranty documentation, and comply with MANN+HUMMEL quality systems while collaborating with internal teams to uphold product integrity and customer expectations.

• Perform visual and physical inspections on customer returns and internal parts.
• Conduct root cause investigations to determine failure mode and verify compliance with product and process requirements.
• Lead cross‑functional problem‑solving activities.
• Analyze statistical and technical data to validate corrective actions and improvement projects.
• Test parts according to defined standards and document results.
• Apply knowledge of the MANN+HUMMEL Management System (MMS) and customer‑specific requirements.
• Lead the field failure analysis (FFA) process and participate in measurement system analysis (MSA).
• Maintain the internal MHUS warranty log system and enter field complaint data into SAP QM/WM (Z2).
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Interpret drawings, FMEAs, control plans, validation test plans, and other documentation to understand inspection and test requirements.
• Determine product disposition for warranty returns: scrap, hold, return to customer, or escalating for further review.
• Communicate product usage, intent, and requirements to other employees.

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in quality inspection or plastics manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with SAP and Cim Database (CDB) preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks with minimal supervision.
