Stryker is seeking a Staff Embedded Firmware Test Lead to create verification plans and test methods to support testing of various life‑saving devices. This role will lead a team of engineers to ensure testing meets design requirements.

What You Will Do

• Lead the test development of software components in alignment with requirements and architecture.
• Take a hands‑on approach while writing test scripts and debugging test failures.
• Provide test‑development schedules, work estimates, sprint planning and drive the test development process to completion on any given product.
• Apply and mentor others on advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts.
• Improve automation frameworks.
• Conduct technology exploration in software testing.
• Facilitate defect/bug resolution collaboratively alongside the quality department and design engineers.
• Work cooperatively with R&D, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, marketing and project management to ensure project success as a team leader.

What You Need (Required Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline and 4+ years of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Strongly Desired) Technical Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++.

Design and Development Skills

• Experience with CAN, I2C, Serial, SMBus protocols.
• Knowledge of integration and deployment processes.

Software Process Skills

• Experience with software development life‑cycle processes.
• Knowledge of creating estimates for test development.
• Experience using application lifecycle management / traceability tools.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards applied to the SDLC.
