Role and Responsibilities:

As a Ski or Snowboard instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality lessons to groups of 1-5 people, ages 4 and up. The ideal candidate is passionate about winter sports, enjoys working with people of all ages and ability levels, and is committed to promoting safety, fun, and learning on the slopes. New and experienced instructors are encouraged to apply.

There will be a required Instructor Training Clinic for all new instructors.

• Instructs 1- or 2-hour lessons for groups of 1-5 people ages 4 and up of varying skill levels, ages, learning abilities,
• Teach fundamental techniques and advanced skills to students of all abilities
• Emphasize safety practices and ensure all participants know the Skiers/Riders Responsibility Code
• Foster a fun and engaging learning environment, encouraging students to develop their skills and confidence.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Work in all weather conditions to deliver consistent and reliable instruction
• Maintain a professional and positive attitude representing Cascade Mountain with excellence.
• Commitment to improving personal skills and teaching techniques through practice and clinics

• Excellent customer services and communication skills
• Strong personal skiing and/or snowboarding skills with the ability to demonstrate techniques effectively.
• Outside work frequently in extreme weather conditions
• Teaching skills for all levels and ages necessary
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching outdoor sports
• Commitment to safety of students and all others on the hill
• Successful completion of New Instructor Training
• Minimum age requirement is 14

• PSAI/AASI Certifications
• Previous teaching experience recognized but not required
