Maintenance Technician (Full Time) – Cardinal Glass Industries

Cardinal FG, a float glass manufacturer for residential windows in Portage, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician interested in working with a company on the cutting edge of technology who takes great pride in providing an extremely safe and clean environment.

A Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in supporting our 24/7 float glass manufacturing operation. This position ensures the reliability and efficiency of complex, high-temperature production equipment essential to the continuous float glass process. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy industrial environments and possess strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. This position’s primary schedule is a 12-hour rotating shift, working 3 or 4 shifts per week.

This schedule provides every other weekend off, only working half the days of the year.

• Combination of two years’ education/experience in one of these areas:
  • Industrial Electricity
  • Welding/Fabrication
  • Machine shop experience
  • Mechanical experience - related to Industrial environment.
• Industrial Electrical Experience preferred

• Competitive Annual Wage Average $64,000 plus monthly profit-sharing bonus

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least two years’ maintenance experience
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Desire to work in a team environment
