A well-established agricultural and food production company in the Porterville area is looking to add a skilled accounting professional to its growing team. With decades of success serving customers throughout California, the organization has built a reputation for quality, operational excellence, and long-term stability. This role plays an important part in supporting financial accuracy, business decision-making, and continued growth across the organization.

This position exists to strengthen the company's accounting function as operations continue to expand. The Accountant will take ownership of key financial processes, support month-end and year-end activities, and work closely with leadership to ensure accurate reporting and strong financial controls.

The role offers a blend of daily accounting responsibilities and analytical work, making it an excellent fit for someone who enjoys both detail-oriented tasks and contributing to broader business decisions. You'll collaborate with operations, administration, and leadership teams while gaining visibility across the organization.

• Prepare monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules

• Analyze general ledger activity and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy

• Maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management processes

• Support month-end and year-end close activities in accordance with accounting standards

• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights, reporting, and budgeting support

• 3+ years of accounting experience in a corporate, manufacturing, agriculture, or related environment

• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting

• Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

• Established and financially stable organization with a strong presence in the Central Valley
