Kern Community College District accepts applications for part-time, hourly faculty pools on a continuous basis. This allows the division to contact qualified applicants immediately if a need arises, without advertising. Applications remain active for up to two years. The district is seeking part-time, hourly adjunct instructors. The starting salary is $66.00/hour, with potential variation based on assignment type and the Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) formula.

• Master's degree in kinesiology, physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise, or adaptive physical education.
• OR Bachelor's degree in any of the above AND a Master's degree in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration, or physical therapy.
• OR equivalent qualifications, which may include certain combinations of education and experience. Candidates claiming equivalency must submit an APPLICATION FOR EQUIVALENCY form with supporting documents. Applicants must demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of diverse backgrounds of community college students. Degrees and credits must be from accredited institutions; foreign degrees require evaluation by an approved service.
