Come and make a real difference: we’re looking for a Service Manager to help make everyday remarkable for our friendly team in RCT.

£32,669pa and our sleep-in shifts at £60 per night and our travel expenses is paid 45p per mile

What you’ll be doing

As Service Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operation and development of a wellbeing complex supporting 15 individuals to maintain their independence, while also managing occupation agreements/tenancies.

The service supports people with mental health conditions, addiction issues and behaviours that can be challenging, so robust experience working within mental health and complex needs services is essential. You will champion a strong person-centred culture, ensuring each individual’s rights, choices and aspirations are at the heart of support.

You will provide motivational leadership to a team of support workers, overseeing team development, performance, and the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support. This includes reviewing support plans, risk assessments and service delivery plans using Active Support and trauma-informed approaches.

Above all, you will focus on enabling people to achieve greater independence, inclusion and meaningful outcomes while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance and risk management.

We’d love to hear from you if you have
  • experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting
  • Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards)
  • a strong caring nature to support others to live an enriched life and fulfil their potential
  • effective communication and the ability to influence others
  • a working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice
  • flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required
  • access to your own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle for which we pay 45p per mile to cover this
  • a drivers licence and happy to travel for meetings and training.
