Salary: £33,746 - £38,003 per annum

Prison officers protect the public and support offenders in a unique environment. They are required to maintain security, build constructive relationships, and support their colleagues as a single team. The role involves working various shifts and weekends.

• Maintain safety and security of prison, offenders and staff.
• Intervene in conflict, de‑escalate situations and provide support to offenders.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver risk management and rehabilitation activities.
• Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

• Integrity, strong character and the ability to handle stressful situations.
• Excellent communication, empathy and self‑confidence.
• Background in teaching, retail, military or other relevant experience is welcomed.
