Responsibilities
  • Carry out a variety of roles in a prison setting, including engaging with prisoners directly to help protect the public and make a positive impact.
  • Build constructive, positive and professional relationships with offenders who could be at the lowest point in their lives.
  • Work as part of a team to keep the prison, offenders and staff safe, and support colleagues across shifts and weekends.
  • Adapt to different duties as needs arise, balancing duties such as peacekeeping, counselling and teaching in a dynamic environment.
