Assistant Restaurant Manager
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) oversees all restaurant activities during their shift, ensuring smooth store operations, exceptional guest service, and adherence to company standards. They support the management team in staff management and financial performance, playing a pivotal role in implementing policies, ensuring safety standards, and fostering a positive work environment. As the GM’s right-hand, they assist in decision‑making, training, and maintaining overall restaurant efficiency and profitability.

- Understand the impact of job responsibilities on guests, team, and restaurant operations.
- Ensure adherence to brand standards for service, food quality, and safety.
- Create a supportive environment for team members and resolve concerns promptly.
- Treat employees with respect and recognition, managing sales and labor tracking effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness, maintenance, and service standards to uphold the brand image.
- Plan and execute shift operations efficiently, following company guidelines for cost control.
- Lead with empathy, fairness, and a focus on teamwork; identify and develop talent for future roles.
- Apply financial understanding to improve business decisions and ensure cash handling procedures are followed.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Coordinate restaurant operations, including staffing and inventory management, and complete administrative duties.
- Identify trends and implement action plans for improvement, focusing on long‑term sales growth.
- Motivate and train team members, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while maintaining a safe environment for guests and employees.
- Support the success of the business hands‑on as needed—preparing food, serving guests, cleaning the store, or other duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent; restaurant management experience preferred.
- English communication required;
Spanish comprehension helpful. - Previous fast‑food management experience required.
- Knowledge of food & beverage performance metrics, product specifications, and management systems.
- Technically proficient in all aspects of food preparation, production, and delivery; detailed knowledge of food safety procedures.
- Strong leadership skills—lead by example, remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Willingness to learn all areas of restaurant operations & work multiple stations.
- Positive attitude and genuine desire to serve others.
- Strong communication skills, including verbal communication in Spanish and/or English.
- Self‑motivated and action‑oriented.
- Attitude that embraces learning.
- Willingness to admit mistakes, take accountability, and fix issues.
- Prompt and regular attendance; dependable and reliable.
- Reliable transportation to work and company events/meetings.
- Availability to work a variety of days/times—including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Physical Requirements:
- Lift, move, carry, and stack cartons up to 50 pounds from various heights to/from shelves.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Frequently squat or stoop to reach items on low shelves or off the floor.
- Routinely reach overhead, forward, and underneath shelves, counter, tables, and kitchen equipment.
- Frequent bending, wiping, sweeping, and mopping motions.
- Exposure to fluctuating temperatures in cooler, freezer, and cooking areas.
- Hazards include slipping, tripping, burns, cuts, abrasions, and falls.
