3rd Shift Packer

Hours:

10:00 p.m. — 6:30 a.m. Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour

This position will operate plastic molding machines according to production standards. Maintain equipment and area in a clean, safe, and well‑maintained manner. This position must be familiar with quality standards and procedures and strive to achieve high levels of quality.

• Ability to pack bottles, make boxes, grind material, and clean up.
• Responsible for making checks at the beginning of shift to make sure current operation meets safety, quality, and production standards.
• Maintain or exceed quality and production standards.
• Perform minor machine adjustments when necessary.
• Ensure that all required documentation is available for reference purposes, and that this documentation is correct with respect to the product being manufactured.
• Make sure needed supplies (coloring, closures, cartons, correct labels) are being used and readily available as per shop packet.
• Accurately complete production reports for each product being produced.
• Contribute positive suggestions or comments concerning quality, production, safety, and housekeeping.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Must have basic understanding of math and reading.
• Steel toes, hearing and eye protection.
• Jeans, t‑shirts (no rips/holes/nothing vulgar or offensive).

  Physical Requirements:
  
  Sit, stand, walk for 6‑8 hours per day; lift/carry/push/pull constantly up to 10 lbs; frequently up to 30 lbs; occasionally up to 70 lbs. Handle fine manipulations, frequently handle and feel objects, frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, bend, and lift overhead. Exposed to loud noises frequently.
• IDOC and OHDOC/Sex Offender search. Felonies case by case with approval (no violence/theft). 5 panel DS#portland.
