Harriman is growing! We are looking for a Senior Architect Designer - Project Manager for our Government Studio to join our team and our full-service practice. Our multi-disciplinary practice seeks a Senior Architect-Project Manager to join our Government Studio. We take a holistic, ground-up approach to design and work closely with the firm’s internal engineers to fulfill our mission to design relevant and innovative solutions. Our work is challenging and creative and is based on the belief that design is a collaborative human endeavor centered on knowledge, ingenuity, and beauty.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership in architectural design and project management for government projects, ensuring delivery from programming through construction administration.
- Coordinate with internal engineers and consultants; interact with clients to align design goals with program requirements.
- Manage project delivery across conceptual design, programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulatory requirements.
- Travel as needed throughout New England to support project needs.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in architecture or a closely related field.
- Professional Degree in Architecture from an accredited university, or equivalent years of professional experience to attain licensure.
- Licensed Architect in Maine, New Hampshire and/or Massachusetts.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with all aspects of project delivery (conceptual design, programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, consultant coordination, client interaction, construction administration).
- Strong working knowledge of applicable codes.
- Willingness to travel throughout New England as needed.
